Art is more than just paint on canvas – it carries history, meaning, and emotion. My work as a painting restorer is dedicated to reviving and preserving these invaluable pieces, ensuring they can be appreciated for generations to come.
With a BA in Art History from the University of Cambridge, an MA from the Courtauld Institute of Art, and a PhD from the Open University, I bring rigorous academic training to the practical discipline of painting conservation. My hands-on expertise is grounded in a City & Guilds qualification in Picture and Frame Restoration, enabling me to combine scholarly insight with meticulous craftsmanship.
I have contributed to curatorial and provenance research for leading institutions such as the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Musée d’Orsay, and have worked on restitution cases involving WWII-era collections. This depth of experience informs a conservation approach that is both historically sensitive and technically precise -making me a trusted provider for those seeking informed, ethical, and skilful restoration for their clients.
My role is to ensure that story endures. Whether it’s cleaning a timeworn masterpiece, repairing delicate paint loss, or stabilizing an aged canvas, my work is guided by a commitment to authenticity, conservation, and fine craftsmanship.
